The other Jennifer Hudson needs love too

This story actaully made me sad! Looks like Jennifer Holliday (the original Effie) is being pushed to the side by the Dreamgirls money-machine.
J. Holl says,
“I was sort of invited to the [LA premiere] tonight and then I got called and said that it was a misunderstanding and that I wasn’t invited to the premiere, but that it was an actual screening that I was invited to but they didn’t have a date for that screening.”
The real tear-jerker:
“I’m also still a young woman still out here trying to work so if you’re trying to cancel out my existence and my contribution to Dreamgirls…then what is to become of me, are you trying to say that two people can’t be out here singing the same song? It’s like, I’m not a millionaire and I don’t have any kind of precious possessions, no children, this legacy, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” is the only thing I do have … please don’t try to kick me to the curb.”
Why do they have to do her like that? It’s funny because Jennifer Hudson is getting ALLLLLLLLLL the attention for the role that Jennifer Holliday literally brought to life. They even use J. Holl’s version of “I Am Telling You” in the movie promos! So not cool. This almost makes me not want to see the movie…. almost
. Who am I kidding? Y’all know I’m gonna be there Chrrrrristmas Day!!
- Jennifer Holliday still feels like an ex-Destiny’s Child Member
- Beyonce may not be jealous, but Halle Berry might be!
