James Brown Passes Away @ 73

Michael Jackson might have influenced most of the hottest star’s out right now.. but who inspired Michael Jackson..? James Brown.
Born in poverty in Barnwell, South Carolina, in 1933, he was abandoned as a four-year-old to the care of relatives and friends and grew up on the streets of Augusta, Georgia, in an “ill-repute area”, as he once called it. There he learned to wheel and deal. “I wanted to be somebody,” Brown said.
Well he became somebody, often referred to as “The Godfather of Soul” and “The Hardest Working Man in Show Business” he had a career that spanned over 40 years with a string of hits that inspired ( and some say birthed ) rap, funk and disco artists. Constantly on tour, he worked hard lived hard but at the end he taken in by pneumonia early this morning. Ironically Eddie Murphy’s character, James “Thunder” Early, in Dreamgirls is based on James Brown’s life and opens in theater’s today.
Our thoughts are with his family at this time. R.I.P.
