Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker and their kids Nicolas and Sophie looks so cute in People…
Actors Boris and Nicole Ari Parker Kodjoe welcomed their second child, Nicolas Neruda on October 31, 2006 - joining big sister Sophie, 22 months. Nicolas weighed in at 8 lbs, 2 oz, and his middle name is in honor of Nicole’s favorite poet, Pablo Neruda. Here are some highlights from the couple’s People interview:
To keep that memory of seeing his son for the first time, Boris took a picture of Nicolas right after he was born.”It’s the most beautiful picture in the world - he was taking his first breath. The cord was still there, and he was looking up into the sky.”
As for what it’s like for Sophie to have a new sibling, Nicole say that she absolutely loves it.”[Sophie] kisses his toes before we put his socks on and pats his head when he cries. I keep wondering, ‘Where does she learn these loving things?’”
Boris also shared what it means to be a parent and how having children helped open his heart. He says, “Once you become a parent, you’re introduced to a whole new level of emotion. I want them to do well and conquer the world for them, like Superman. It’s as if a whole new chamber in my heart has opened up.”
