Is Ashanti being pushed to the left?
It was all good just a year or two ago. what happened? I hate when great relationships die… this time it seems the love is lost between Ashanti and her label The Inc. They don’t promote her, she doesn’t associate with them as much as she did on her first 3 albums. Now they have Vanessa Carlton signed is Ashanti being pushed to the left?
On her appearance on TRL today, Ashanti stated that Irv Gotti did not have much input on her album and that she prefers it this way. When asked by MTV if, “..this is the first album, where Irv Gotti doens’t have anything to really do with it..” Ashanti replied “Yes.” But don’t feel sorry for her, she’s making moves in the ‘07: Movies, a line of Bags, a new fragrance, a book and of course a new Album!
