Movie Watch: Dreamgirls & Daddy’s Little Girls
The video for the lead single for the Dreamgirls soundtrack “Listen” premiered today and it’s already everywhere! She sounds lovely on the song, it’s a little different than the usual single from Beyonce which is nice. There is so much attention to this movie I really hope it’s not just hype. At the same time the hype alone is somethign to be proud of. A blockbuster with all black cast? It’s been a while since we’ve been able to say that… The story is different that the usual black movie and I think people are really responding to that.
