My gay mag is better than your gay mag!
Who knew Dreamgirls was so popular in the Gay community? The film promoters sure did! Both Jennifer and Beyoncé will appear on Gay magazine covers this month to promote the film. And here I thought it was to preach tolerance.
So what are their connections with the gay community? We’ll tell you after the jump!
Well, J. Hud claims her sister is gay and so are almost all of her friends, and Ms. Bey’s gay uncle helped her embrace gays. With her uncle, you’d think she’d be more gung-ho about AIDS awareness. Go figure.
Anyway, Jennifer graces the cover of HX mag saying,
Well, I’ve been prepping for [a gay icon status] for a long time with Idol and even before. I love it. I think the world of the gay community, and I feel like it’s an honor. The gay community is the hardest community to please, so if they love me, I must be fierce, honey.
